The Kuaotunu Library

The Kuaotunu Library is now open – by the tennis courts on the way to Luke’s kitchen. People are welcome to come and visit and register their membership ($10 per annum per family).

Books from the existing hall library have been relocated along with donated books from Mercury Bay Library, local authors and residents. It is planned to hold a book sale of any surplus books with all proceeds going toward the new library running costs.

COVID-19 – Kuaotunu Campground is closed to the Public for the Government COVID-19 response Level 2

The campground CLOSED following the NZ Government COVID-19 Virus Level 4 lockdown (as at 11.59pm Wednesday March 25th 2020). All citizens were instructed to self-isolate – stay in their homes for four weeks.

With the transition to COVID-19 Level 2, from the 14th of May, the campground is closed to the Public. Kuaotunu Campground shareholders need to refer to the Kuaotunu Camp Ground Board email dated 12th of May 2020 – or call the campground office.

Further information will be posted on this website and the Kuaotunu Camp Ground Facebook page regarding the camp re-opening.

  • 10.30 am Welcome by local iwi Ngati Huarere
  • 10.45am – Music: Whitianga Dixieland Band
  • 11am – Te Rerenga School Children’s cooking competition
  • 12pm – Music: band to be confirmed
  • 12.30pm – ‘The Great ATOM Cook Off’ to be confirmed
  • 1pm – Charity auctions
  • 1.30pm – Music: band to be confirmed
  • 2.45pm – Raffle ticket drawn (on sale 10am-2pm at merchandise tent)
  • 3pm- Music: band to be confirmed – rocking us from afternoon to close of the day
  • 4pm – Alcohol sales close
  • 4.30pm – Festival close.
